Terms and Conditions — Claritly
Last updated: August 30, 2026
Welcome to Claritly. Claritly is a Chrome extension that helps you choose the right tone and make your messages clearer, more specific, and more effective. By installing or using Claritly, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
By installing, accessing, or using Claritly, you confirm that you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the extension.
Claritly is a browser extension, not a standalone application or operating system tool. It is designed to run exclusively as an extension within the Google Chrome browser. It is not available, supported, or intended for use on any other browser (such as Firefox, Safari, or Edge) or as a desktop/mobile application at this time.
Claritly's interface appears only when you select editable, writable text — such as text inside a message box, comment field, email draft, or similar input area. It does not activate on fixed or non-editable page content (such as static article text, headlines, or read-only elements).
Claritly currently works across most major web platforms. However, it may not yet function on every website or platform in existence. We are actively working to expand and improve compatibility across more platforms over time.
Certain pages within the browser are protected by strict security policies that prevent all extensions — including Claritly — from running. Claritly will not activate or function on these restricted pages. This is a standard browser limitation and is not specific to Claritly.
Claritly is built to help you communicate better — not to generate or refine harmful content. When using Claritly, you agree that you will not use it to create, rewrite, or enhance:
Repeated or continued attempts to use Claritly for the above purposes may result in serious consequences, including temporary or permanent suspension of your access to the extension, at our discretion.
Claritly is provided exclusively as a consumer-facing Chrome browser extension. We do not provide, sell, or distribute API keys, programmatic access, or developer endpoints for third-party integrations or external services.
Claritly, including its design, branding, and underlying technology, is our property and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the extension without our permission.
Claritly is provided to assist with tone and clarity — it is a writing aid, not a guarantee of outcome. Suggestions may not always be perfectly accurate or suitable for every context. You are responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to use any suggestion before sending your message.
Claritly is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the extension, including any miscommunication resulting from suggestions provided.
We may update these Terms from time to time as Claritly evolves. Continued use of the extension after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to Claritly for any user found violating these Terms, particularly the Acceptable Use rules outlined in Section 5.
